Tent OX appoints Scott Pickel director of sales

Tent OX™, Enola, Pa., has appointed tent rental industry veteran Scott Pickel as the company’s director of sales. Pickel has 27 years of commercial tent rental experience and has been a board member of the Manufacturers and Tent Renters Association (MATRA) for seven years.

Pickel made his first appearance for Tent OX at IFAI Tent Expo in Orlando, Fla. As an early adaptor of the Tent OX system of articulated loader and tent-specific attachments, Pickel understands how it can substantially boost crew productivity and reduce labor hours for companies that have yet to invest in the new technology.

Tent OX president Scott Woodruff is shifting his role to concentrate more heavily on dealer sales and national accounts.

“Scott will play a key role in Tent OX’s expansion into a billion-dollar segment of the rental industry,” Woodruff says. “He is in a unique position to leverage his already strong ties to the commercial tent rental community gained as a rental company owner and industry trade group officer.”

Pickel began his career at Taylor Rental and went on to build his own tent rental company, Everything Tented, over 15 years in the Cleveland, Ohio, area.

“I first jumped into the tent rental business when I attended my first MATRA tent show many years ago,” Pickel said. “As I built my own business, I met Scott Woodruff as early as 1999, and he was a mentor. I look forward to working with the Tent OX team to leverage the company’s already high initial growth with sustained, strong sales results.”
