TopTec Event Tents, Moore, S.C., is taking its long running tent installation and safety training program on the road in 2017.

The first Tent School On The Road session will be held at Rent-E-Quip in Colonial Heights, Va., March 7–8.

“Our goal was to make Tent School more accessible to our customers across the United States,” says TopTec sales manager and lead Tent School instructor Bryan Bolt. “We’re planning at least two on-the-road sessions for 2017 and we may add more.”

Tent School was developed to ensure the safety of guests at any large-scale tented event, including weddings, festivals and corporate meetings. Event rental professionals from across the United States attend the series of classes to learn the latest event safety techniques and best practices for the tent rental industry. Training includes frame and pole tent installation, emergency planning, advanced staking and anchoring techniques and best practices for tent installation. Class size is limited.

TopTec will also offer customized Tent School programs for event rental companies needing exclusive training for in-house sales and operations teams.

“Sometimes our customers have a specific training need, whether it’s for a certain type of tent or even specific site challenges,” Bolt says. “With this new format, we’re able to offer a customized version of Tent School that can address those types of issues at the customer’s home base at a time when they need it most.”
