The more knowledge rental companies have about the different types of printing that can be done, the better off they are in the long run when it comes to offering their customers custom printed covers. Be prepared for any questions that might arise along the way.
Contact tent manufacturers and find out what type of art files they prefer to print from and what method of printing they use (i.e. digital, silk screening or adhesive).
Ask whether the manufacturer requires a deposit and how much it charges for a custom cover. Knowing the market and what your client can expect to spend will help you find the best manufacturer for the product. Remember: Lowest bids are not always the best. Ask to see samples of the company’s work.
Find out what the turnaround time is to manufacture a custom tent. This is especially important if the client has a tight deadline and needs the product quickly. Perhaps a decal or temporary solution will be the best bet for fast turnaround. Ask local sign shops if they can provide print-on-demand services.
