LeFort Interests acquires four East Coast event rental businesses

LeFort Interests, a family office with locations in New York and Winter Park, Fla., has acquired four event rental businesses based on the East Coast.

The acquisitions include Nantucket, Mass.-based companies Nantucket TentsPlacesetters Nantucket and Soiree Floral, as well as Sperry Tents of South Florida, with locations in West Palm Beach and Winter Park, Fla.

“Over the course of 25 years all four businesses have established themselves as market leaders and we see great upside potential through complementary services to provide a truly end-to-end experience for the customer including the highest quality tents and structures, flooring, lighting, tables, chairs, decor and floral,” said Alec LeFort, principal, LeFort Interests. “I am very excited to work with the existing team to build upon the foundation and continue to expand our platform over the coming years. As a Florida and New England native, my personal connection to the culture of the region and businesses made this a particularly ideal opportunity.”

“It’s been a great run for 25 years and it was time to transition to a new buyer who will continue our growth pattern,” said Ande Grennan, previous owner of the businesses. “Dawn Kelly and I are looking forward to working with Alec to ensure a seamless transition over the course of the 2024 season. Additionally, my partner Adam Weldy, along with the entire senior leadership teams, have decided to stay with the new company moving forward.”

LeFort Interests said all four businesses will continue to operate under their current names and leverage the reputation and brand equity built over many years.

“Through streamlined operations across the four businesses, significant investment in inventory, sales, marketing and key personnel, as well as continued geographic expansion, we are confident that the new organization has a unique opportunity to increase market share and continue to flourish,” LeFort said.
