Tech in Motion has recognized Goodshuffle, based in Washington, D.C., as a finalist for 2019 Best Tech Startup as a part of the annual Timmy Awards, which the group hosts to celebrate the top workplaces for tech professionals. The Timmys finalists in this category are chosen for their innovation, forward-thinking leadership and work environment. Two Best Tech Startup awards will be announced at a live ceremony in October, one Judge’s Choice and one Community Favorite.
“We are excited to recognize the top local startups on the Timmy Awards finalist list this year,” says Mandy Walker, director of marketing at Tech in Motion. “These companies are not only attractive to talented professionals nationwide, but ones that strive for everyday innovation. Every year, the event series grows alongside the tech community. It reflects the increasing quality of startups here that we are able to offer two awards this year to keep up with the growth in the industry.”
Goodshuffle’s cloud-based software platform, Goodshuffle Pro, streamlines business operations for event rental, production and design companies across the U.S. and Canada. The goal of the company’s online marketplace (undergoing a re-design) is to make shopping and transacting with its vendors a breeze for event planners and renters.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized as finalists by the Timmy Awards,” says Goodshuffle cofounder Andrew Garcia. “2019 has been a year of endless benchmarks for our sales team, but it’s extra special to be recognized locally in the D.C. tech community we love so much.”
The local community can vote through Sept. 27 to determine which company will be crowned the best in tech as the Community Favorite, while the Judge’s Choice winners will be chosen by a panel of expert judges.
