Ben Sinclair has joined Point of Rental’s Melbourne, Australia, team as the company’s customer success manager for the Asia/Pacific region. He’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of the company’s new and existing customers. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Point of Rental Software provides rental and inventory management software to more than 5,000 business locations of all sizes and industries.
Sinclair, who has been a non-executive director with Point of Rental since 2017, was most recently the business development manager with AIM Hire, a building site and event equipment rental business based in the state of Victoria.
“Ben is a great example of what a ‘Pointer’ is,” says Wayne Harris, Point of Rental’s CEO. “He’s very knowledgeable about hire processes, he pursues innovative solutions and he cares about the people and businesses in this industry.”
“I’ve always been interested in the process of equipment hire and the technology behind it,” says Sinclair. “I’m excited to join Point of Rental, a company that shares that passion, and to help hire businesses throughout the Pacific region become more efficient and flexible.”
Sinclair started his professional career in construction, moved into construction management, and then transitioned into the equipment rental industry in 2012. He’s “probably” used every piece of equipment available in a local rental store, he says, which served him well as the Victorian president of the Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA) for the last two years.
