A tented wedding with romantic decor and magical details

A magical wedding ceremony begins with a backdrop created with attention to detail.

A sunset shimmering with red-and-purple desert heat. A walk down the aisle to a full symphony. A bride’s vision for a “timeless, romantic and magical” wedding. And just the right tenting and decor to make it all possible. These enchanted moments came to life in October 2017 on a private Coachella, Calif., estate, thanks to meticulous planning and collaboration under the creative genius of Los Angeles-based Revelry Event Designers, Sharon Sacks of Sacks Productions, Calabasas, Calif., and Van Nuys-based Town & Country Event Rentals.

“Revelry Event Designers works with Sharon Sacks and collaborates on the design for special projects like this,” says Edgar Zamora, owner and CEO of Revelry Event Designers. “Our ability to bring Sharon’s and her clients’ visions to life have enabled us to work with her on a regular basis.”

Wedding of the year

Named “Wedding of the Year 2017” by Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine, the all-white outdoor wedding ceremony provided seating for its guests with Revelry’s Miami dining chairs in white and clear—a choice that allowed for the gorgeous estate to take the limelight. Flowers in white complemented the natural surroundings while drawing the eyes of the guests toward the main attraction. “A focal point of the ceremony was the custom-mirrored runway lined with white florals from Jeff Leatham (Los Angeles) that lined the path to the opulent chuppah structure,” Zamora says.

Town & Country provided the tenting to accommodate the 250 guests from around the world who arrived to help the couple celebrate their day, including a 110-by-100-foot structure that the crew had one day to install. They took two days to build the rest of the structures, including a 40-by-60-foot tent, four 20-by-20-foot tents and one 20-by-40-foot tent.

Glamour in the details

An opulent reception featured strands of a thousand Swarovski crystals suspended over a white lounge, with Revelry’s tuxedo accent chairs in chrome complementing its Monaco sofa in white. Table settings included a clear charger and dinnerware with a black rim, which revealed Revelry’s Washington dining table beneath. “To complement the luxurious table setting we paired our Dubai dining chair in chrome and Washington dining table together,” Zamora says. “The room was elegantly aglow with candles and white blooms, creating a romantic and luxurious wedding.”

A white seamless dance floor and carpet provided the base for guests to dance the night away. Revelry draped the entire interior of the 110-by-100-foot tent with fabric that transformed the space into an ethereal ballroom. Oversized crystal chandeliers provided the perfect touch of glamour to the ceiling design.

Backdrop for the stars

The celebration culminated with dancing and a live performance by John Legend, and later, Ludacris—the perfect ending to a fairy tale wedding. But the performances were just the icing on the cake. The collaboration of event experts may have been the real stars that provided a backdrop to make the rest of the event’s magic possible.

“The design, production, florals and photography were exceptional and have garnered international attention,” Zamora says. “It was an honor to be a part of such an exquisite day.”
