Former Anchor Industries vice president Louis (“Lou”) Ray Brown passed away on Aug. 11. Brown retired from Anchor in 1997 as senior vice president of the tent sales department after 45 years with the company. He began on the manufacturing floor and rose to manager of tent production before moving to sales. He oversaw launches of the Fiesta® frame tent and the Century® tension tent. His leadership was recognized in 1996 when he was awarded IFAI’s Tent Rental Division (TRD) Bruce W. Wodetzki Award.
