Welcome to the redesigned InTents, your complete source for events in tents.
Sailcloth, two-story (and three-story!) structures, pagodas, glass walls, high-end flooring—the list goes on. In 2016, the tent and event industry has more varied and creative options than ever.
As the only publication dedicated to tent rental and events, InTents strives to reflect the innovation and professionalism of the industry—to be as “on trend” as our readers. That’s why it’s time for a new look.
The last time InTents had a makeover, the world was a little different. Candidate Barack Obama was headed toward a win in the Iowa caucus. The price of petroleum neared $100 a barrel. Facebook hadn’t yet hit 100 million members. A great recession was looming.
The tent and event business has changed too. Looking back at that Dec. 2007/Jan. 2008 issue, there’s not a sailcloth tent or farm table in sight. The only double decker is in a small photo in an advertisement. An article about taking better photos refers to actual cameras rather than smart phones.
In redesigning the magazine, we set out to create a refreshed reader experience that continues to be informative and inspiring for all sizes of tent rental companies and all types of event professionals. You’ll still see the project features, industry news and in-depth articles you’ve come to expect. Backed by the dedicated leaders of IFAI’s Tent Rental Division, we’ll keep safety at the forefront. We want you to turn to InTents first—whether you need to know the latest in code developments or trending color palettes.
What do you think? Tell us what we are doing right and what we could do better. And contact us so that we can show off your best work on these pages. If you are in the tent and event industry, this is your magazine.
