The U.S. equipment rental industry is expected to grow 6.7 percent in 2016 and 2017, 6.2 percent in 2018 and 5.8 percent in 2019 to reach $48.7 billion, according to the American Rental Association’s forecast from the ARA Rental Market Monitor™. Progress is consistent regardless of changes in oil and gas prices, construction and other segments served by the equipment rental industry. Organizations that began renting equipment during and after the recession are expected to continue to rent to control costs.
