A&R Tarpaulins Inc. has purchased a 27,000-square-foot lot next to its current location in Fontana, Calif.
“We’ve been looking to expand our facilities for a while,” says marketing director Lucy Rivera. “Our increase in production demand has been one of the main reasons. We continue to diversify every year in our different production areas; we needed more work space.”
A&R is using the new property for parking, which frees up its existing parking area for production.
“We’re optimistic about the future,” says vice president Bud Weisbart. “Orders are rolling in and we’ve kept busy despite this rough economy.”
A&R’s fabric products include Super Kwik Patch, an adhesive-backed product for quick and easy repairs of all PVC coated fabric products. A&R also manufactures octagon fighting mats for UFC, specialty fabric products for satellites, and architectural structures including awnings.
