The tent collapse that resulted in one death and dozen injured on Saturday in St. Louis, Mo., is leading to scrutiny of that city’s regulations of event tent installations. The tent had been granted a permit and was inspected prior to Saturday. The city of St. Louis requires tents to be wind rated to 90 mph. Gusts on Saturday were measured at more than 70 mph. A cause of death for the victim, 58-year-old Alfred Goodman of Waterloo, Ill., has not yet been released.
