Mahaffey Fabric Structures, Memphis, Tenn., was awarded a contract for more than $16.5 million in December to provide shelter at Fort Polk, La. Mahaffey will shelter up to 6,000 soldiers a month. The company opened a field office on the base and will run the contract independently from its special events division. The contract allowed Mahaffey to expand inventory and add 15 full-time employees.
