For the third consecutive year, Teijin Ltd. rolled out the “green” carpet at the Tokyo International Film Festival in October. The carpet is made entirely of Teijin Fibers’ ECOPET® recycled polyester fiber produced from PET bottles. In total, Teijin produced 1,600 meters of 90-cm-wide material, or the equivalent of 23,000 recycled half-liter PET bottles. In addition, the material was used to produce reusable bags for giveaways to festival guests; coasters for giveaways to customers of Toei Subway; ties, handkerchiefs and ribbons for guests; and jackets for festival staffers.
