Fire destroys wedding tent in Kuwait

An arsonist, which local newspapers claim to be the groom’s 23-year-old ex-wife, set fire to a wedding tent in al-Jahara, west of Kuwait City, Kuwait, killing an estimated 41 people, The Associated Press reports. The blaze put 52 other guests in the hospital with injuries. The tent housed the women and children of the wedding party, as Kuwaiti men and women celebrate weddings separately.
