PS Furniture goes green

Industry News | August 1, 2008 | By:

PS Furniture, Milwaukee, Wis., has enlisted the help of the Green Business Alliance, Boca Raton, Fla., to implement environmentally friendly operating procedures. With the Green Business Alliance’s “Greenified” program, PS Furniture (formerly Palmer Snyder) intends to integrate environmental stewardship into its daily business practices. The new program involves changes to the company’s office operations, including copying, printing, energy use and more.

“The corporate community has an unprecedented opportunity to lead employees and subsequently our citizenry to a greener future,” said Hilary Kusel, executive director, Green Business Alliance. “PS Furniture’s efforts demonstrate how a portable event furniture supplier can make a positive impact in the community and on the environment, not only with the services that they provide to their customers, but also with the practices within their office.”

The Green Business Alliance is a national firm offering guidelines for companies looking to implement more environmentally responsible business practices. Visit www.greenbusinessalliance.com.
