The Base-X model 8D36 Dome Shelter has passed rigorous extreme weather and durability testing at the Aberdeen Test Center in Maryland. The testing included a snow load of 10 pounds per square foot and a wind test at 55 mph with gusts of 65 mph. In addition, the tent withstood 2 inches per hour of driving rain and 4 inches per hour of static rain. After 50 cycles of setups and strikes, there were no adverse effects to the shelter’s frame or cover.
