Choosing the right tent

News | | By:

Tent size is determined by available space, type of event, number of attendees and the event budget. Scott Bryant, manager of tents and event rental for Bryant’s Rent-All, Lexington, Ky., provides the following information on common types of tents and their uses:

  • Canopy tents are typically used for shade at lower-budget functions, such as family reunions or small parties.
  • Pole tents require more space, which makes them good for larger events. However, there are poles in the center of the tent that can be an obstruction and need to be worked around.
  • Frame tents are easily modified to increase or decrease in size, making them good for various types of events.
  • Clearspan tents are strong, sturdy and fitting for long-term applications. Clearspan tents are suitable for weddings and corporate events.

For more information on tent sizes and types, contact tent companies or visit their websites, many of which feature detailed information and photos of the tents they supply.
