Tentickle Stretch Tents expands into North American market

Tentickle Stretch Tents, Cape Town, South Africa, has entered the North American market with its newest distributorship, Tentickle Nevada.

Headed by Jamie Sparks, Tentickle Nevada will operate initially in the Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Lake Tahoe areas before expanding to the rest of Nevada and surrounding region, with a focus on providing a range of Tentickle Stretch Tents to private events, weddings and festivals such as Burning Man Festival 2014.

Sparks first encountered stretch tents at the Afrikaburn festival in South Africa in 2012. “During a freak wind and hail storm, I was lucky enough to be camping underneath one of Tentickle’s stretch tents and I knew instantly that I needed one of my own,” Sparks says. “Tentickle gave me such incredible customer service, answered all of my questions and didn’t try and push me to purchase. Their support was fantastic and there was no need to look further. I purchased my first tent and after my first time using it I knew I needed to be a part of their introduction to the United States.”

Tentickle Stretch Tents manufacture a wide range of stretch tents available in a variety of colors. Available in fire retardant and waterproof fabrics, the tents are tested and certified to standards including Germany (B1), Spain (M2), Portugal (M2), UK (BS 7837:1996) and Australia (AS 1530.2-1993). They comply with California fire code regulations and have achieved a 110 percent BBBEE certification in South Africa.
