B.C. Tent & Awning Co. commemorates 45th anniversary

B.C. Tent & Awning Co., Avon, Mass., commemorates its 45th anniversary in 2025. The company started as a small business with a single rental tent in 1980 and was founded by Bob Costa in his father’s garage. The company grew to provide tents and event solutions for both small and large corporate events.

According to the company, its 1997 campaign, Big or Small, We Do It All, helped broaden B.C. Tent & Awning’s reach in the Boston area. The company has been in Avon since 2000, operating from a facility that has expanded over time and now encompasses a 25,000-sq.-ft. warehouse. In 2017, the company acquired Boston Party Rentals, further growing its inventory and services.

Today, B.C. Tent & Awning manages more than 500,000 sq. ft. of tents, with offerings that include party rental equipment, tents and awnings.
