Traube Tent Co., a full-service tent and structure provider in the St. Louis metro region established in 1938, has announced that the Traube family has transferred majority ownership of the company to the newly established Traube Tent Acquisition.

In conjunction with the financial investment, Traube has added Craig Buffkin — an entrepreneur with national connections and resources, the company said — to its executive leadership team. Buffkin will serve as chairman of the board for the new entity. Steve Traube will continue as a minority owner of the new entity.

“I am thrilled to welcome a new chapter in the Traube legacy,” Traube said. “A key goal of the Traube family was to identify an investor committed to upholding our core family values. Craig’s investment will unlock new opportunities and markets for the company while preserving our workforce, the current leadership team, the Traube name and our headquarters location in Columbia, Ill., along with establishing a clear succession plan. I am confident that Traube is taking significant steps to enhance our strong position for expansion and growth from the St. Louis region.”

“Traube is among the premier tent and structure providers within the United States. The Traube name, personnel, equipment and leadership are truly best in class. We are honored to partner with the Traube family to build upon this solid foundation and we look forward to leading our industry into the next generation,” Buffkin said.
