Prim Design Co., Tempe, Ariz., a Southwest special event and interior design provider, has divided into two distinct entities: Prim Design Co. and Prim Rentals.
The company said the strategic move will enable it to focus more specifically on its two core services — interior design and luxury event rentals.
Prim Design Co. will continue to be led by Lara McDonald, CEO and lead interior designer. The company will focus primarily on offering high-end interior design services. McDonald will also remain involved in curating rental products for Prim Rentals.
Prim Rentals, the newly separated entity, will focus exclusively on luxury event rentals and event design services. This division will be led by Maureen Harkness, CERP, who has been appointed as CEO and partner of Prim Rentals.
“I am honored to lead Prim Rentals into this exciting new chapter and continue Prim Design Co.’s legacy of innovative design and elevated services,” said Harkness, who also serves as the American Rental Association’s (ARA) Region Seven director.
