Direct Scaffold Supply (DSS), Houston, in conjunction with Highlander Partners, a Dallas-based private investment firm, has acquired Granite Industries, Archbold, Ohio.
Founded in 1997 by Steve Wyse, Granite Industries is a manufacturer of frame scaffold, carts and dollies and staging equipment.
Granite says that under the new ownership structure, it will be better equipped to provide scaffolding and related components for large-scale jobs in the Midwest; DSS says the acquisition will add significant breadth to its product offering.
The companies say they plan to expand production and further invest in growth markets.
