Industry News | November 22, 2019 | By:

Registration is open for Tent Conference 2020, set for Jan. 22–24 at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo at River Ranch, Fla. Don’t miss out on the leading event for promoting the advancement of the commercial tent rental industry, and the opportunity to experience “Old Florida” at an authentic dude ranch while networking with industry peers.

Register by Dec. 12 to receive the “early bird” registration rate. Resort group rate is available through Dec. 31. The ranch offers luxury glamping tents, teepees, cottages, rail cars and cabins in addition to traditional lodge rooms and suites. Book early to guarantee availability.

Tent Conference features dynamic learning and networking opportunities designed for owners and managers. This biennial event includes the Tent Rental Division (TRD) annual business meeting, access to the industry’s top suppliers and robust educational sessions, including:

  • New information technologies and how they are changing the tent rental business. This session will cover new technology to promote logistical efficiencies, including GPS tracking for deliveries and transport, RFID for inventory management, and staff tracking tools.
  • Safe anchoring and ballasting, including best practices in evacuation planning, to keep your tents safe and your code officials happy, with Nick Deninno of B&R Innovations and Michael Tharpe of Rainier Tent.
  • The workforce: A townhall discussion about the labor crisis and what owners and managers can do about it.
  • ICC code update with TRD code consultant Paul Armstrong, PACCS.

Tent Conference is also packed with opportunities for fun networking and socializing, including an old-fashioned cookout, a “TRD Experience” competition, a western-themed saloon dinner and a rodeo, all included in the full registration fee. For an additional fee, join a group wilderness adventure that will include airboat rides, trap and skeet shooting, and swamp buggies.
