Frame tent manufacturer Economy Tent International (ETI), Miami, Fla., has named David Leitner as chief operating officer.

Leitner joined ETI in 2002 and has served as production assistant, production manager and operations manager. Prior to ETI, Leitner spent six years in the Marine Corp 2nd Marine Division–artillery at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He then went to trade school and worked as a sheet metal worker for Bohnert Sheet Metal.

“I’m proud of the fact that I have only worked for family-owned companies and was elated when Anchor Industries Inc. purchased ETI in 2011,” Leitner said in a press release.

During Leitner’s tenure, ETI has experienced exponential growth. His contributions have impacted the success of ETI by increasing productivity and optimizing production processes by leading a team of skilled craftspeople and introducing state-of-the-art equipment.

“David will do an outstanding job and is dedicated to the ETI family and the companies continued success,” says Brad Gleason, ETI’s former COO. “Over the last six months, David’s transition from operations manager to COO has been smooth and successful.”

Pete Mogavero, president and CEO of Anchor Industries, says that, “as a general rule, family means more trust and caring. We have both of these with ETI and Anchor.”

He adds, “We have the upmost confidence in David’s ability to be an exceptional leader, offering the same dedication and professionalism that you’ve seen from Anchor Industries and ETI for the last 126 years.”
