From disaster relief to weddings on the beach, Beachview Event Rentals & Design brings the right stuff.

Georgia’s Atlantic seaboard, with its tidal rivers, salt marshes and miles of beaches, attracts tourists and locals alike with a sense of the ancient and the hypnotic lull of the natural world. And for two brothers who grew up watching their parents meet the ever changing needs of guests at their family’s hotel, it was a natural extension that they, along with their wives, launch their own business in the event rental industry.

Not satisfied with the rental items available to their guests, Daniel and Zachry Veal, along with their wives Elizabeth and Leigh, respectively, began to collect inventory and in 1999, Beachview Event Rentals & Design was introduced to the Golden Isles of Georgia. “It didn’t take long for business to spread across Georgia and Florida and before we knew it, we were doing private, community and corporate events across the Southeast and then the country,” Elizabeth says. “But no matter where we go, we make sure to bring the creativity, fun and excellent customer service that have been winning us the hearts and minds of clients—fans!—since the company’s beginning.”

Based in Woodbine, Ga., Beachveiw Event Rentals & Design also has locations in Jacksonville, Fla., and Georgia’s Saint Simons Island and Savannah.

Shifting sand

For couples that want a beach wedding, Beachview Event Rentals & Design is up for unique challenges that come with installing a tent on sand. “We are the only company in our area that will put up beach tents due to the monumental logistics involved with trucking them in and setting them up,” Zachry says.
In addition to logistical challenges, there are special considerations and permitting issues particular to beach installations, including the need to consult with the Department of Natural Resources on tent placement.

Disaster relief

In 2009 Beachview purchased Military and Disaster Solutions Inc. to provide logistics management, on-site base camps, emergency and disaster relief support services, and rental equipment to non-profit relief organizations, state and federal government and private clients.

Capable of installing and maintaining multiple sites at any given time, Military & Disaster Solutions stocks frame and clearspan tents and high wind rated Century® tents. All of its tents can be custom equipped to meet the demands of each site with necessities including flooring, lighting, different types of walls, doors, exit signs, fire extinguishers and heating and air conditioning.

For base camp facilities, the company coordinates and provides equipment and services such as mobile restrooms, showers, laundries, generators and power distribution, light towers, kitchen facilities, catering, janitorial services and 24/7 security. “Military and Disaster Solutions is a women-owned business and is supported in times of need by its sister company, Beachview Event Rentals & Design,” Elizabeth says. “We pride ourselves on the quality of our inventory and most importantly the customer service that is so critical to a successful operation.”
