Fuerzabruta, a high-energy performance that got its start last summer in London, has kicked off its latest season in a brand-new, state-of-the-art tent. The new tent is one of the world’s largest touring venues. Organizers say that the show’s visuals and effects are stunning, and they advise audiences not to wear high heels or expensive clothing, as the crowd may get dirty or wet.
After the show sold out for 13 straight weeks last summer in London’s Roundhouse, the producers decided that a European tour with its own tented venue would be the next incarnation for Fuerzabruta. The venue is deemed the Black Tent, and it has its own six-person traveling engineering team. A crew of 15 works for six hours to build the tent, which is made of Ferrari vinyl.
The first stop on the Fuerzabruta tour was the Port of Leith, Edinburgh, Scotland. Additional tour stops include several cities in Germany, as well as Dublin, Manchester and Amsterdam. There are also plans to visit New York.
