Creative Coverings goes green

U.S. event linen rental company Creative Coverings, based in Sparks, Nev., has implemented several sustainable components within its manufacturing, shipping and laundry departments. These include:

• Repurposing damaged linens (creating alternate size table coverings, table accents, client swatches).
• Manufacturing custom window coverings from unused fabric to help refurnish homes of families affected by Hurricane Katrina.
• Partnering with UPS to design reusable canvas shipping bags for clients to return dirty linens and participating in UPS’s Carbon Neutral program.
• Choosing readily biodegradable laundering products.
