The Base-X model 8D36 Dome Shelter has passed rigorous extreme weather and durability testing at the Aberdeen Test Center in Maryland. The testing included a snow load of 10 pounds per square foot and a wind test at 55 mph with gusts of 65 mph. In addition, the tent withstood 2 inches per hour of driving rain and 4 inches per hour of static rain. After 50 cycles of setups and strikes, there were no adverse effects to the shelter’s frame or cover. The 8D36 Dome Shelter is the largest in the Base-X line of folding frame shelters; it has a clearspan interior of 31 feet wide and 36 feet long. For more information, visit www.base-x.com.
