The Dell Childrens Medical Center, Austin, Texas, set up two large canvas tents in which patients with flu-like symptoms can be treated. The tents, located outside of the emergency room, allow nurses to care for patients who exhibit mild flu-like symptoms. The tents also increase the capacity of the hospital by housing an additional eight to 16 beds for patients in an air-conditioned environment.

    Hospital tents

If the H1N1 virus hits with epidemic proportions, I think that many hospitals will use clear span tent structures for diagnosis and overflow.
