TouchCAD 3.6 offers new feature

Lundström Design has released TouchCAD 3.6, with new features including support for shaded surfaces in the 3D editor, many improvements in the tools and menus, improved contextual menus, improved nesting features in the Unfold view, improved database handling and support for after processing of unfolded parts.
TouchCAD is a cross platform product, available for Mac OSX (10.2 or later, Universal Binary) and Windows (XP/Vista) in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish.
In the example of this inflatable tent, there was 1,000 square meters of floor area and 3,987 square meters of surface area distributed over 924 unfolded panels. Modeling time was two days from scratch to ready-to-cut files exported to cutting machines, complete with seam allowances, panel numbers and a check that each panel fitted into the given material width of 1.6 meters (the imaginary roll was 3.2 kilometers / 2 miles long).
