Choosing carpet or hardwood for tent flooring

Carpet is definitely an upscale choice for tent entrances, but is it necessary? Doug Purslow of New York’s P.J. McBride Inc. doesn’t think so. Over the years he’s seen people insist on carpet or hardwood floors only to find that they “disappear” once the party gets going.

“And then they’re looking around wondering why they spent all that money on something people can’t see,” he says. That’s why Purslow recommends AstroTurf®. “It comes in a lot of different colors and it’s much less expensive,” he says. “You can get an elegant look without carpet or hardwood flooring, so I tell people, ‘Why spend money on something nobody’s really going to notice?’”
