The Professional Golfers’ Association of America and Arena Americas signed a long-term contract for golf event-related products and services. Under the terms of the agreement, Arena Americas will provide tenting, flooring, and carpeting products and services in support of the PGA’s three annual golf championships.

Arena’s support of these iconic golf events is already well underway and will include the following for 2017:

  • KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C. May 23-28
  • KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, IL, June 27-July 2
  • PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, August 7-13

The agreement runs for several years and includes the support services of Arena Americas for the 2020 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis.

The allocation of labor and equipment to the 2017 venues has already been scheduled as construction begins as much as 2-3 months in advance of the week-long competitions. Total construction time is a function of several variables including weather, access points, topography of the course, and the location and size of the structures. The PGA Championship alone will require approximately 250 individual tenting structures to support patrons, sponsors, players, media, rules officials, hospitality, food caterers, ticketing, and concession areas.
