B.C. Tent & Awning names Gene LaPierre vice president of operations

Gene LaPierreAvon, Mass.-based B.C. Tent & Awnings, provider of tents, awnings and event party items, announced the promotion of Gene LaPierre to vice president of operations.

Formerly the director of special projects, LaPierre will implement new and more efficient ways to serve the company’s existing clients and grow business. Training new and existing employees will become a major focus to improve workflow procedures.

LaPierre has served the rental industry since 1974 in numerous capacities on the regional, state and national levels. He joined B.C. Tent & Awning in 2011 and currently serves as the executive director of the American Rental Association of Massachusetts, Inc. He has been involved in promoting industry-related legislative issues and has presented a number of tenting training classes for municipal building inspectors.

Tent and Awning. “His industry experience, attention to both detail and ‘big picture’ combined with a general commitment to excellence make him the perfect person to fill this vital role within our organization.”
