Event Equipment Sales (EES) expands table production in Chicago

Event Equipment Sales, celebrating its 21st anniversary, announces the expansion of its Chicago, Ill.-based manufacturing facility. Last summer, EES took its first steps toward expansion by incorporating the demand of its rental division, Ben’s Rental.

“Currently, we are on track to increase our table production over 40 percent in 2014,” says Ben Shipper IV. “Manufacturing growth of 20 percent in 2013 is further proof the time is right for expansion. We are very pleased with our position in the special event and hospitality industries and look forward to continuing our forward momentum.”

The expansion project will help sustain the growth of EES, create new jobs in the Chicago area and provide EES the tools to develop new product lines.

“We plan to introduce new finishes on our tables, which will open the door to new markets,” says Ben Shipper III. “Veneered and acrylic surfaces have grown popular, and it’s important for EES to stay current with trends and styles. Customization has always been a priority to our company; our expansion will lend to more customization, which helps build our brand.”

“We’ve always been proud to manufacture tables made in the USA,” says Douglas Crowe, chief operating officer. “Our team of craftsmen has been the foundation of our manufacturing; they are very excited for our future. Our goal for completion of this project is by the end of 2014. This will provide us the ability to ramp up for the new year.”
