Value Vinyls adds new testing equipment

Value Vinyls Inc., Grand Prairie, Texas, has added a Q-Sun Xenon test chamber, an advanced research and development and quality control tool for testing materials that are exposed to direct sunlight, sunlight through window glass or indoor lighting. The chamber also features a water spraying unit that creates exceptional realism with controllable condensation and humidity that is critical for testing many materials. With the Q-Sun Xenon, Value Vinyls is able to simulate the damage caused by full-spectrum light, temperature and moisture that occurs over time in just a few days or weeks.

The addition of this chamber enables the company to review materials for fading, yellowing, crazing, cracking and hazing. Testing to standards such as ASTM G155-98 or ISO11341 contributes to providing the most stable products for outdoor and indoor environments.
